    Banded/Tiger gene question
Hi guys I got a question about banded/tiger.

So far there's been several lines out there that is proven to be genetic. Would these be considered as dominant or co-dominant? if co-dom, has anyone seen a super banded?

Also, I would like to know if banded (both proven and unproven) could pass that trait onto their morph offspring? For example, banded + Lesser = Banded lesser (2 gene)? or would it be 1 gene, same as breeding a normal to a lesser?

There isn't too much info on banded's genetics and the unproven ones seem to be selective bred/fluke normals. So I just want to understand the difference between the provens and unprovens more.

    Thanks!

This thread may be able to answer some of your questions. If not, there are people here who know. I believe Robin has a banded.

I think these types of mutations are likely a bit more complex than just a form of dominance, but for practicality's sake, it's probably best to call them dominant, as a visually distinct homozygote has not been produced. It is entirely possible for banded animals to pass their appearance on to their offspring, but they are usually considered single mutations in the case of a would be combo because bandeds are for the most part considered "fancy" normal balls.

I have Co-Dom genetic tigers A.K.A Diesels and there is a super form. There's pictures on my website under Genetic Tigers but here is a photo of the super Diesel. . .this is th first season we are breeding them to others morphs so hopefully your other question will be answered this season ;)
