Sad Loss at Fauna Classifieds

Chuck Kimmel (aka Critical Bill) passed away today.

I don't participate at Fauna much...just no time. But I follow the BOI and have much respect for the site and most of the members there. And, while he may have been abrasive and in-your-face about stuff, Chuck was definitely one of the Good Guys. I didn't know him beyond his Fauna persona, but from all I've read, and from the character of his friends, I believe he was a very worthy man who will be deeply missed by all those he's touched.

This thread tells the story of his heart attack last month and the battle he fought for so long after... And his wife made today's announcement on post #481.

What a terrible thing to happen, I had seen him around the forums and always thought he knew what he was talking about.

Sure seems like he went out with his boots on though, and that's the best way for a herp lover to go. :(

I saw that they have been having benefit auctions for Chuck and his family on Fauna with animals from Jas. It was nice to see people coming together for one of their own. My thoughts go out to his family.

What a loss indeed. I knew he has very ill and struggling everyday. My condolences to his family.

one thing about his hobby and the people in it ... we stick together. sorry to hear about the loss of Bill, he'll be missed and i wish his family the best. Sad day ...

Big Gunns just got done reading most of the thread over at Fauna on Critical Bill and BG has one thing to say. He sure seemed like a BG type of dude. Not sure if he would have gotten along with BG though. People with his type of personality seem to get a leeetle peeved when BG comes and steals their fans. It does however seem like there is a big hole that only one man could fill over there, but don't worry fans, BG isn't going.

BG is sorry to see that so many of his fans liked Bill a lot and are now bummed from his passing. All BG can say is that he will try and cheer you up like only BG can.

RIP Bill, and may BG keep up the sarcasm for both of us. BG hopes you're looking down on him right now and giving him the thumbs up.:gj:

ps. On a side note. BG wonders if his banning contributed to his heart attack. The reason BG says this is personal. BG knows that he comes and posts as a comic relief. It has been proven that laughter is good for you. BG really wonders if after he was banned he had no other outlet to relieve his stress. BG can find other things, but it sure seems like Bill lived for that forum.

pps. Just let his fans know where to find BG. This is guaranteed to cheer them up. BG never disappoints.

Wow. :( I never had the opportunity to talk much to Bill, but he certainly was part of the identity of Fauna to me. I am very saddened to learn this news. Very sad indeed. :(
