Pull them off and rub some Neosporin on where they were..

Quarantine the animal in a separate room far away from the other snakes. Unless you want them all to have ticks. Check the other snakes for ticks and if they any of them have it as well quarantine them as well.
Switch to newspaper and disinfect the cage as well as anything around or in it. Go buy some Provent-a-mite to kill off the rest of the ticks and prevent any future ones from appearing.

That is what I would do :-)
Good luck getting rid of them.

Where did you get this snake from? Ticks are usually on wild caught imports. Even if it is a CB or CH snake I would be sure it doesnt get anywhere near my other snakes for a long time. If it was in an environment where it could get ticks there is no telling what else it could have.

I am still trying to figure out where my GTP got his tick from. Noticed it 2 days ago and he is all alone and has been since he was a juvi, He is 5 years old now. So far no ticks on anything else so I have no clue. Now I have to get it off and probably take a bite or two in the process. The only other time i found a tick on a snake was when a guy was trying to sell me cb hatchling ball pythons that i knew were imports. Once I pointed out the ticks he changed his story really fast.

If you bought that BP from a store, I can almost guarantee it was not captive bred.....ticks are a sure indicator of that.

take tweezers and get as close as you can to the head of the tick and twist while you pull but make sure you dont get his scales with the tick and dont pull to hard my bp had 2 ticks on it also and after you get them out rub neosporin all over the area where they were and than but it in QT:D goodluck
