    Fun to compare
I was taking some pics and thought this one would be fun to post. Two morphs that seem to get compared often. The snake on the left is an Ultramel and the one on the right a Caramel. They are two young adult males.

Very cool Ryan. That's the first time I've seen a comparison picture of the two mutations. Thanks for sharing!

That very nice of You to show us comparison. I like Ultramel very much... What is a genetics of that morph... and little of topic... What happen to the Burgundy Albino this one what was in possession of VPI?? Is that what was basic for Ultramel morph or is a different mutation??

Thank very much for posting this.

Seeing pictures of different snakes one at a time, makes it harder to truly compare. And of course no two snakes are the same basic color anyway.

But this really help me to distinguish the two. As much as I thought I loved caramels, that ultramel is a whole 'nother ball game!

Adding one ultramel to my future python acquisitions. Waaaayyy in the future!! :D

The Ultramel is a recessive morph and is a single mutation from a WC founder. It is not a combo or anything like that. The original WC (VPI's) burgundy albino has made some F1 hets but no F2 Burgundy Albinos have been produced as of yet. In time I bet the Crider, Ultramel, and Burgundy albino will prove to be the same morph but from seperate WC founder lines. I love this morph and cannot wait to see what the future holds.
