Re: how many WC are out there!!
I own one WC abberant female, who appears to be passing her characteristics on to a couple of her offspring. She was imported at around 500g in 2002, but was a LTC captive of a friend of mine before I acquired her (I remember picking ticks off of her when he first got her). She is one of my best eaters, an excellent breeder (laid 11 good eggs and 1 slug her first year, though 3 went bad in the incubator) and a great animal all around.

I don't have any wc but im not opposed to the idea
Re: how many WC are out there!!
I'm not opposed to the idea in terms of continuing to add fresh genes to the captive population, but as far as WC for the pet trade in general, I think that BPs especially are way past the need for that, as CBB are widely available, inexpensive, and generally healthier and easier to keep. I guess that means that my stance on the subject that if you're breeding, it's probably good to have a few WC animals, but otherwise it's best not to.
Re: how many WC are out there!!
keep in mind, some pet stores accept wc babies to sell =p.
the 2 of the 3 petcos i go to have a "cb" sign on their BP setups
Re: how many WC are out there!!
I have WC baby who as sweet as she could be!
Re: how many WC are out there!!
Ive got one WC girl, its my own stupidity that i got her. I will never own another WC BP EVER again.

What happened to make you so opposed? Mites, parasites, etc?
Re: how many WC are out there!!
I have one WC, he was a LTC for a year before I bought him from J&J. personally I dont say there is anything wrong with WC in the right hands. Sure you dont give WC or 'bush baby' to some one whos new to ball pythons, but people who get them responsibly and are looking for dinkers and what not. long as you can properly care for them and have patience I dont see the issue. Then again there is probably no way to make sure every WC ends up in the right hands in the first place, they just get tossed around at the whims of the almighty dollar.
