When a morph is very new and very rare, a male will cost more. The male can be used to breed lots of females, thus creating large numbers of the new morph. Also, he'll (usually) breed sooner. Thus, when there are only say 10 animals of the new morph available to be purchased this year, when you are lucky enough to be able to purchase one of those 10, you will want it to be a male. Supply of both is very limited, but the demand for the males is higher.
Once a morph becomes more common, the females become worth more than males, for the very same reason. A single male can be paired with lots of females, so you only need one male. However, multiple females of the same morph are useful. The supply of males and females will be about equal (or there may actually be fewer females available, because breeders are more likely to hold back females), yet the demand for females is greater.

Big Gunns will give his fans a lesson now. Pay close attention and take many notes. BG does not like to repeat himself.:taz:
Males are always worth more to begin with. After the morph has been around for a while they switch places. The main reason for this is because you only need one male to breed up to 10 girls(male snakes are so lucky;):D). When Pieds first came on the market males were 25k and females were 15k. BG is trying real hard to think of a morph that females started as more money....and his genius IQ can't think of one. We all know what this means. That morph never existed. Males always cost more at first.
If there ever was a morph that started out with females worth more than males, BG can guarantee one thing. The breeder who brought this morph to the market.....was an idiot!!!!!:D
There was however people who paid huge money for female morphs out of Africa before a male was known to exist. The first "Lucy" that turned out to be a Super yellowbelly was huge $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

Kinda...BG can be serious and his "funny self" at the same. Sometimes it can be hard to tell though. This is how you know BG is only being serious. There will be lots of money at stake.:D
