rack agression, since it didn't get solved in other forum

Put my mexican pine in the rack yesterday, he was always a bit skidish and rattled, so the rack is soid on 3 sides, so i neglected a hide, i went to pull in out today, and he rared back and struck at me, almost 2 foot out of his, cage this really scared me, is this becasue its like putting him in a new home and lay off handling for a week, or do i need to put a hide in there, his old exo terra doesn't fit, so thats another reason its not in there, i posted this in colubrid forum with no replies

UPdate- as well as my pine striking, my bull snake did his open mouth his and my corn even rattled, i didn't even know the could do that, i really would like help
