    Flexwatt
I am making my plans for making a rack because my tanks arre taking up too much room. Question is what size flexwatt do you use? One will be large tubs and the other will be small tubs for the new babies coming next year!

I use the 3 inch 10 watt flexwatt tape. Best bang for the buck in my opinion.

I have heard issues with overheating with the 3" 10 watt flexwatt, is this true or just a rumor?

    I use 4" flexwatt.

I use both 3 inch and 11x12 inch

3 or 4 inch is too small for large tubs IMO

What do you mean by overheating? If they are controlled by a Helix or Johnson Controls, they should be fine.

The idea is to have them radiate heat outward to give you a 7-8 inch x the length of the flexwatt, heated patch. If you're using a 41 qt tub, that may be a little small, but very useable.

Do you mean by using as a back heat?

I was thinking using 11" X 1 foot for the large tubs and 3" for the small tubs!

We use the 3" 6 watts. It's about the same price to buy, but it will cost you less over the year in electricity.

I have had the probe come off, and the 10 watt tape got to hot and burned a hole in the tubs.

The 6 watts is all you need IMO.

Isn't 3" space of heat kind of a small space for an adult bp?
