I have a female ball that is doing a great job of confusing me. She has been very plump and glowing for at least three months now. When I take her out and hold she has a huge bulging belly in the bottom half of her body (and has refused food for the past two months). Again, this has been there for about three months. She has not shed since I first noticed her glowing and plump belly about three months ago.
Yesterday she began a shed. I never saw what I thought to be a definite ovulation, but there is certainly a chance that I could have missed it. Is it normal for a female to have the very plump look and to be glowing for this long without laying? Could there be something wrong? or is it likely that this is FINALLY her pre-lay shed?
