how do you make money from youtube?

I was watching a video tutorial on youtube , and the person that posted the video was really pushing for people to subscribe to the channel.

it got me to thinking, he's got to be making money off it somehow, if he's pushing so hard for people to subscribe. so how do those people make money from their youtube videos?

anyone here making any money from theirs?

as far as i know, you can't make money directly from youtube.

however, you could use youtube to promote yourself or your business?

IU know the guys that do the "Is it a good idea to microwave a..." clips make a bit of $$ off of their videos. They have a FAQ page that details it.

you can actually make quite a bit of money off of youtube.

Last I heard, user sXePhil uses that as his main form of income. you get money based on the number of views your videos get.

Most however just do it for some side dough.

From what I've heard, if your channel gets so many views, they'll pay you to advertise on your videos. The "What the Buck" guy has done interviews telling how he made his claim to fame through youtube, and he makes easily over 6 figures a year.

Shaycarl's main income is through youtube. Charles Trippy (CTFxC) too, but he sells shirts amoung other stuff. The Vloggers make a bit of money. Specially if you have cute kids like Shay Carl, lol.

its all about the advertisements. People who have subscribers mean there videos are prolly gunna be watched by the subscriber and therefor the company sticks there advert on the page or bottom of the video to been seen by who ever is watching the video
