How do you deal with the dissapointment ?
Everyone has been there at one point.
You find a ball morph for sale, and this snake just blows your mind. If you live to be a hundred, you'll never find another one like this. The price is really reasonable, but you can't afford it even so. :(
So you stare at the pictures, you sigh and moan, you try and come up with a way to get the cash, but there isn't one. Nothing legal anyway.
Someone else will get this dream snake, and you just have to live with that. I want to know, how do you convince yourself to forget about it ? :tears:

Try to make it my self with the years to come :D
The first time I saw a Bumble Bee I thought "thats awesome looking!"
I wasnt as impressed with the Killer Bee as I was with the Bumble Bee.
But when I went to NERD's website for the first time and I saw the Killer Bee Axanthic, I was like "I want that!!!"
It will take some time, But I will get there!

I am seeing more and more I want, but cannot afford. Its a bit heart breaking because they are so beautiful. I just keep telling my self it was not meant to be and I will find the one for me, or breed it someday. :)

I am right there with you, I love any Axanthic morph. I would love to have any morph with axanthic in it.

You wait until you sale what you have to get to a place where you can buy more balls. My goal is to breed the 20 something snakes I have to get money for the next snakes to come. It is a non-porofit business so to speak.

Re: How do you deal with the dissapointment ?
I have found this to happen to me fairly frequently. One solution is that I tell myself I will get one someday if it continues to be important to me. And that is true, I have my piebald - I wished for one over 2 years before I allowed myself to buy one. Over time the price comes down and it is reachable.
If it is a particular snake (or horse) that I've fallen in love with, that is tough to handle, but I remind myself - there will always be more gorgeous or well trained or "perfect" snakes/horses and my time will come. :)
The other thing is that I look to my existing collection and smile, they were very much wanted and still are.
When those two things don't help enough, I scour the internet for photographs, post here and pre-occupy myself with friends family and other hobbies! ;)

I just do my budget, see how broke I really am, and the desire quickly goes away. :D But seriously, I know what you mean!! I actually said to my roommate recently "I wish I lived in North Carolina," because somebody was selling a gorgeous pied for $600 - local sales in NC only. I honestly considered moving there for this deal, LOLOL.

LOL... good line. ;) I also keep telling myself "you can afford more when you have babies to sell!" I've been dreaming of a female lesser for months, but just can't afford one right now. So with the clutches I'm breeding this season (2 BPs, 2 corns), I'm hoping to raise enough for that lesser girl - and maybe an orange ghost or two. I already have buyers lined up, just waiting for the darned eggs to arrive.
