How to set up a good rubbermaid habitat?
Ok Im tight on money right now and my bp really needs a bigger cage so Im going to move her into a large rubbermaid. But how would I do this? My main problem is how am I going to heat it? RIght now she is in a glass tank with a heat lamp so its easy to heat. But how do I heat a rubbermaid?

UTH (under tank heaters)... I have a small 5-10 gal UTH under my rubbermaid, its the only size recommended for plastic. However you can go with flexwatt, which I hear is also great for tubs. I just do not have the money or time to wait for that right now.

yup, just like the pics. but i use a 12 inch UTH and a red light for ambient temps cuz the room gets cold and the tub is all by its lonesome, but i dont put plants and stuff. when switching over from tanks to tubs everything becomes easier, u will not regret it
Re: How to set up a good rubbermaid habitat?
I'd suggest hooking up a lamp dimmer (<15$) to your UTH... Just to be safe, and to give you the ability to drop the temp if your UTH happens to be a little on the warm side. Other than that RichsBallPythons method is the way to go.

Just to be clear there is ALWAYS a thermostat controlling my heating deviced to achieve 92F

Instead of duct tape to attach the UTH, which will get gooey and messy from the heat, use aluminum plumber's tape - you can pick it up at Home Depot, Lowe's, Ace Hardware, even Walmart with the plumbing materials.
