i just got the ok for a new albino ball python =D

my mom just gave me her seal of approval, she just said i have to pay for half, and she pays for the other half, and everything, from housing to food runs on my account, but since she gives me all my spending money [[except for my college scholarships where i get extra money]], she really is paying for everything hahaha, this is my new baby in over 4 years, when i got my first normal python =] glad to know she trusts me enough with one that'll she'll let me have 2 without thinking im gonna let them go hungry :colbert: so im happy, already went and got a second tub, now im looking for where to buy, there's a pet store here that has a male for $600 but i want a female so i can pair her in a couple of years with my other python, but yeah, im excited =]:taz:

Forget the petstores. You can get a AWESOME quality female from a breeder for around 500 plus shipping. Guaranteed healthy. You cant say that for a petstore.

really? hmm... i have a couple of weeks to look while i get everything ready [[gotta make sure i have everything before i get her]] so i need to look around, but any advice on a good breeder will be greatly welcomed =]

You can try the classifieds at Kingsnake.com and FaunaClassifeds.com. Fauna also has a good feedback section where you can check for positive and negative feedback on the breeder/seller you are considering. Good luck in your search...:gj:

What are you smoking?
If you go to a reptile show you can find a subadult male for 500.

go with a reputable breeder...you will be happier in the end. Also make sure when you decide on a snake that you check out the breeder on the board of inquiry on fauna. Remember cheaper is not nec. better.

i know =] thats why im looking around to make sure i get a good snake AND a good price

I would also suggest you check out the nearest upcoming Reptile Expo. You will be able to see a lot of different breeders and their snakes, and know where your pet came from. When I got my BP at an expo I was even able to meet/hold his daddy.

Plus, the prices are usually lower.

If that is not an option, than I might also suggest buying online. I've not done it personally, but there are many people here who have and with great success. I'm sure it would not be hard to find some highly qualified and respected online sellers.
