    Feeding Problem
So we have had our BP for about 2 months and he has eaten everything we put in front of him perfectly fine until RIGHT NOW. We actually bought 2 mice today for the first time because we wanna fatten him up a bit and he's doing something very strange.

He took to the live mouse right away, snagged it outta my hand and continued to kill it. Now that it is dead though he is almost like playing with it. He keeps wrapping around it and poking it with his nose. Occasionally he will put it in his mouth about half way and then spit it back out.

Is this normal behavior for a BP? Does yours ever play with its food?

Are you distracting him? Why do you want to fatten him up? Its not good to over feed him :colbert:

Well I didn't mean to literally fatten him up. Today is his normal feeding day and he has been taking to 1 mouse very well every single time we feed him. He is getting to be a decent size and I do believe that he can easily handle 2 mice now.

Also as soon as I finished typing that post he started to eat it and has it all the way down now. I have no idea what he was up to, he literally played with the thing before eating it.
