    I have bifocals!!!
I've only had reading glasses before, but I've been having some issues with my eyes for about a year now. I went to the eye doctor and came out needing bifocals! I can't believe I'm 22 years old and have to wear bifocals!!! I told my eye doctor I wasn't going to get them because I didn't know they could make the bifocal part invisible. Thank heavens they can grade it and people don't know just by looking at me

They have proven much more difficult to get used to than I was expecting because they are technically trifocals from the grading. I was also really happy that I could still get cute glasses!

I was trying to take pictures of me and my glasses, but my needy little baby boy Enzo wanted his picture taken too

They are cute and girly from the side, and my last name starts with a K, so it's kind of cool :P

    The glasses look great! :gj:

It is too bad your eyesight is fading, but they can do amazing things with glasses now days. I am legally blind without mine, but no one would ever guess just by looking at me wearing my glasses.

One person I used to know didn't like the way the bifocals divided their vision, so they wore both contacts & glasses. If I remember correctly, they wore the contacts all the time for the distance vision, and then could put on reading glasses when needed.

And, if you get tired of your options with glasses, the eye surgery is always an option as well.

Cute pic!! The glasses look good IMO. It is also cool that they could grade them. That would have been a concern of mine also. I can imagine they will take some time to get used to but at least you can see. Luckily my vision is perfect but my wifes is horrible. She wears contacts. I couldn't imagine not being able to see clearly on my own. It has to be very tough!!!!

I've had bifocals since my 20's as well...not much fun. I remember it took me quite awhile to get used to them...but you will. The longest adjustment came with walking down stairs...even a single step could give me vertigo if I looked down the wrong way as I stepped off. LOL But even that became second-nature after awhile.

They do make "bifocal" contacts, but they only work for certain people under certain conditions. They're not for everyone. :(

It is amazing what they can do with glasses. He said they might fix my eyes and I won't have to wear glasses forever, but usually people have already grown out of this problem by my age, like, 5 years younger than me :( So I might be stuck with this issue forever. He did mention I could get contacts and just use my glasses for reading. If I have to wear glasses forever I will strongly consider it!

That amazing that you are legally blind without your glasses! I'm so glad glasses help you!

Thank you! I was SOOO thankful they could grade the bifocal part! You're very lucky! I'm not sure what exactly the issue with my eyes is called, but my muscles work so hard to focus up close they can't let go when I try to focus far away. It takes me several minutes to regain my vision after reading or using the computer. Since I'm a college student and my major requires me to read research papers everyday you can imagine how difficult this eye issue has been for me!

Oh my gosh you've got to be kidding! I didn't think many young people had to get them! It does make me really sick to go down stairs or walk around outside. When I look out at something far away and everything under my shoulders is burly it makes me really dizzy! It's hard to get used to, I'm glad you say it will become really easy. I can't wait till that day! I did notice that driving was much easier for me today, and this is only my second day with them.

Ah, I see, that must be why they didn't tell me about the bifocal contacts.

Thank you! :P My mom was with me getting her glasses as well and I kept picking out "boring" glasses and she wouldn't let me get any other ones but these. I suppose since I'm still a student and it's her insurance I have to get what makes her happy right? I really like them too, I'm glad she made me get "fun" glasses, moms do always know best, I hate to admit it :P
