    Found Snake After 6 Months
    Hey guys,

SO, I found my snake after she was missing for 6 months. After looking everywhere so many times that I gave up, I thought that she had gotten outside. Well the other day she shows up.. she's in the toilet bowl of an unused bathroom! I think she was going between there and the laundry room for heat. She may have eaten during this time to. I found some droppings in a back room so I'm thinking she might have found a mouse family :D

Now she's back in her tank which I've cleaned out and set back up for her but there's a problem.

I've noticed what appears to be some small patches of scale rot on her underside. Also she seems more pale than the rich dark colors she used to have and she's making a subtle wheezing or whistling noise when she breaths.

I'm applying antibiotic cream on her belly and she fed the day after I got her back. I'm hoping that things will clear up now that she's back in an appropriate setting.

Just wanted to get some advice/thoughts on the situation

    Any help is appreciated,

    Thanks

I would take her into a vet just to be on the safe side. Glad you found her :)

For that long of time who knows what it got into.
It may have RI and the starts of some scale rot?
Who knows but I would agree to see a vet and hate to say but quarantine this from any other reptiles you may have just to play it safe.. really wash & sterilize your hands after each holding.
    Again see a VET ..
Good luck & keep us posted

LOLZ... there is nothing better than herping in your own house, however it sounds like a vet trip is in order.

from experience, take her to the vet...i know, i know, its expensive and all, but mine got lost for 8 months, and i took her to the vet the next day, turns out she has an RI and is currently on antibiotics, if i had waited any longer she might not have made it

    Congrats! Also, don't forget to...

    Wait for it..

    ...

    wait..

and just to be different: Don't forget to check that antibiotic cream to make sure it doesn't have painkillers. Anesthetics in those are designed for people, not snakes!
