Snack time!!
i feed on a 6 day schedule, i feed live medium rats. would it be okay to try feeding a mouse in between?? just as a snack?

Re: Snack time!!
You can if you want too, or you can just feed the mouse after the rat.
I think one rat per week is fine. Do you have a reason for wanting to feed the mouse in between?

she was fed mice all her life, and i just got her on rats. i figure if i give her a little mouse between feedings it would be like a nice little treat for her.?

There is also the chance that she will start refusing the rats and wait for the mice if she is particularly fond of mice. I think it is better to stick with either rats or mice because some ball pythons will imprint on one or the other and refuse to eat anything else. If she eats rats, keep her on just rats.

If you have her on rats let her be.

It will be easier and, depending on where you get your feeders, most likely less expensive, to just leave her on rats.
In another post, you said she is 4 years old. She is well past the rapid growth stage, so she does not need more frequent meals. 1 medium rat once a week is plenty for an adult ball python. In fact many people believe they do better on less food, more like 1 small rat/week, because they are less likely to go on a fast if they aren't being fed quite so much.
