Re: ANy ideas what this is?
The snake could be about to shed, or the snake has been rubbing its nose against the glass or items in the enclosure. It looks like its about to shed to me.

Pretty he's long aways from a shed and also hasnt been eating for a long time(4 months, temps and humidity are golden), concerned this is in part why.

In the photo his eyes are dull, and the skin kind of crinkles at the neck. I think he's going to shed, we'll see in a few days. Normally males will go off feed in the Winter. What is the warm side temp, cool side temp, ambient, humidity, and what are the hides like? Enclosure size?
Re: ANy ideas what this is?
Warm side about 95 for the belly and ambient ranges from 90 on warm side and 85 cool. Night time prolly drops to the 80-90 range. 56% humidity. Hides are tight but not hats. Enclosure is 41qt tub in a rack.
Re: ANy ideas what this is?
Looks like he has been rubbing on the top of the enclosure to me.
What kind of bedding/substrate are you using? Do you mist at all?

Aspen or paper towels. Rarely mist, only durring sheddings. I check humidity quite often to make sure it's holding nicely.

Hi,
Tiff's right - he's in shed and has been rubbing against something or digging in the substrate. :)
I would boost the humidity to around 60-50% and he should look fine once he sheds. :gj:

I knew there was a reason I asked you guys here. Thanks a lot. I was worried it was something fungus or bacteria related. Boosted the humidity a tiny but more than I normally do durring shed (70%).
All I heard last night was a bunch of moving and crinkling while I was trying to sleep and poof this morning,

His eyes were in blue in the pic. That was a dead give away. Good it was nothing big.
