Picture problems

Seems like a few users had a problem viewing pictures that I uploaded onto my gallery here at BP.net I uploaded them from photobucket and everyone can see the pictures now.

Any ideas why this would happen?

No idea. If you can post a link to threads that show the difference between the two, we might be able to figure it out. :)

I'm not the tech wizard for the site, but I'm guessing it's the format that was used to post the images. The text between the [IMG] tags should look like this:

http://www.ball-pythons.net/gallery/...dompicture.jpg

But yours looks like this:

http://www.ball-pythons.net/forums/p...&pictureid=460

I think some browsers will still recognize that and pull up the image to display, while some will not. That's my guess.

What puzzles me is WHERE, exactly, you uploaded those pictures to begin with. I can't find them in the regular galleries. You don't have any images uploaded into a gallery with your username. :confused:

Duh...I'm an idiot. You used the album in your profile. That's something separate from the gallery most folks use to post pictures on this site. This is where you can upload pics to share on the site:

The ALBUM on the profile page is not the same as the GALLERY space you can use. Your gallery will work fine, you just haven't used it yet.

Click on the link:

You'll see a row of links across the top, right above the gallery category listings. One of those links is "Upload".
Home -- My Stuff -- What's New -- What's Popular -- Upload -- Search

Click on that. Browse your files and select the ones you want to upload....then scroll down a bit and find a dropdown menu that says: "Please Choose a Category." Set that to "Member Galleries."

That will automatically create a new gallery under your user name. The photo properties will read the way I showed you in my first reply and will be compatible with all browsers. :)
