How to go about sexing mine
So I want to know the gender of my corn snake, just for naming it and for the sake of it. I found a probe kit online that's about 10 dollars, do you think it would be too dangerous for my corn snake if I tried doing it myself? There are many instructions and videos online, and I surely will be cautious. The only other option I have is going to find a vet to do it for me, but that is going to be too costly. Thanks for your input.

If you do not have someone to show you how to properly do it i would then i would not suggest it.If its done wrong you could injure your snake or worse. If its just for naming it they do not know what you are saying to them so it doesnt matter ;)

Being a corn snake it can be visually sexed by the taper/length of its tail..
Long taper/tail is a male and a short abrupt taper is a female..You should be able to find pictures online of such..

very good picture of the tail is a chance of getting the sex with 90% accuracy.

Corn snakes and many other colubrids can be sexed by their tails. While others must be probed or popped.
