What size cages/tubs do you use for your rats?
I'm trying to decide between 3 feet or 4 feet. Wondering what everyone else has, looking for opinions. Anybody?
Re: What size cages/tubs do you use for your rats?
If you give them the bigger one they'll take advantage of the space and appreciate it! What type of ratsnake you have is going to make a big difference in there size and their minimum caging requirements though.
Re: What size cages/tubs do you use for your rats?
The asian ratsnakes don't get big mostly from my research. Maxing out at 4 feet I think.
I am planning on a
Rhino Ratsnake
Thai Red Mountain Snake
Mandarin Ratsnake.
I ended up going with the 3 footer because of money restraints. If they outgrow it I can always upgrade them in a year when I get more money. For now they are only 09 hatches. I'm cureently trying to make perches out of PVC for the rhino.
Thanks for the response!!!

Those guys should do just fine in there! If it was a beauty snake on the other hand, they get mighty big! Make sure to post pictures when you get the little guys!

Oh I will I can't wait. All my caging and heat and substrate material is coming in next week and as soon as I make sure everything is temping out perfect I am gonna get my new little guys and gals in! I am so excited.
Yeah I want a blue beauty sometime in the future, I like a fiesty snake, And I hear they can get biiiig. The biggest cage neodesha makes is 4 feet so I might have to get a vision for it but I dunno. I really like neodesha.
