Off feed because of Adult ball?
    Hi

I just want to share my experience, I have 5 2009 ball pythons around 5 to 7 months 4 female 1 Male. All of them eat very well as long there a rats they will eat it. They all eat F/T rats every 7 days and never missed. 3 weeks ago i bought a huge 2007 adult male and Ive quarantine this ball for 1 week before I place it on my rack along with my 2009 ball python in separate tubs.

Since then all my 2009 Ball pythons stop feeding and off feed for a 2weeks until now. I dont see any sign of stress and no sign of illness. Do you think because of this new large male? Its seems that they smell that there a huge male in the rack when i hadle them out of the tubs.

    Thanks

First off, a 1 week QT is not long enough. Unless you really, really trust the person you got the snake from. Then, some would say, not even then.

As for the reason your snakes went off their feedings, who knows. They can go off for no reason at all. I bought a 700+ gram albino, that was eating every 4-7 days. She was packing them in. She went into shed, and hasn't eaten since. That's been 5 weeks ago. All you can do is to keep offering food.

    Good Luck!

Yes, one week is hardly anything for quarantine. It is each persons personal choice how long quarantine lasts, but it has its risks.

Could be any number of things frankly. It is really hard to say. If they don't eat for a couple months, then it will be an issue.
