How to know when a bp is about to shed?
Well i just pulled the guy out today and his eyes are like all gray. And his belly is a little pink. But i also notices he has a few like scratches that messed up a few scales. Nothing to big wondering if that will come off?
Also he is ALOT darker then when we bought him xD
I think the gray eyes/pink belly is sings just not to sure if thats correct or any other ways.
FYI i put him up cuz if hes gonna go into shed i dont wanna bother him
Another reason i ask is cuz my humidity sits at 45-55% is that fine? And for shedding how much should it go up to?

Also when ever I see them go ghost or blue eyed ( I see and take all mine out everyday) I start with utra high humidity.
Mist the paper towel substrate realllll good.
Add a secondary water source.
Add a balled up paper towel that is wet on the hot side to add humidity. Also I mist the the ceiling of the hide (inside) to keep the humidity in and so it stays.
My humidity is around 80% at it's lowest point during the 5-6 days that I now they are shedding. I have all my snakes get perfect sheds. All in one peice, normally in a rolled up ball. After that the humidity drops back down to 45-55%.

Wow didnt even see that! Thanks :)
I got some of this stuff that was given to me

Good or bad? And ur saying 80% humidity for shedding huh?
Re: How to know when a bp is about to shed?
shoot for 70% humidity for the shed cycle. 45% is too low and will cause a bad shed.
No need for that misting spray stuff. Just get a 99cent spray bottle and put regular water in it.
You are using a tub so you shouldn't need to mist at all. Just cover up some holes with a dab of hot glue and that will raise your humidity.
