Guidence needed on jungle female breed..
Hi all,
i currently have a female Jungle who came to me from the states at 1000g approx and off food for many months after arrival.
i have had her near on two years and she had been eating for a good year, in this time she had increased to near on 1501g and as soon as she hit this weight went off her food! perfect timing for breeding season.
Now at 1000g she looked very under wieght and deffinatly triangular (im sure all of you will know this look!) she hasnt eaten for near on three months and has dropped to 1400g but now looks once again "triangular" but still bowl hugging, not feeding and producing folicules....
my question is:
i know some breeders will breed at 1100g and some at 1500g minimun, but by eye how do you know if you would be happy breeding them? dont get me wrong i know most females look (for want of a better expression) "tragic" after birthing and i could see this gilry looking very slim, but shes still in top health other than this Triangular look... i think she would be more a size 12 than a 8 if you get me, she looks like she would fit a 2000g better lol...
here are a few pics... i would like your opinions on GO or NO.. As im thinking of aftermath not about what see wants now if you get what i mean.. if she dropped 8 eggs would she pull through ok etc... (i over look every aspect but this ones got me,) i have the patience to weight but shes the one telling me its time for her....

thank you in advance,
Jon

She doesnt look bad at all honestly. She probably went off feed for the breeding season.
