pied x het albino..would you?

Have never given much thought to het pairings other than straight het x het..Have a few het albino females & currently exploring options..a pied x het albino pairing produces 50% het pieds & 50% het pied/albino, since het albinos are as cheap as chips it seems a reasonable gamble on the basis I hold back all offspring..your thoughts would be appreciated..other options for the hets would be spider het albino, pewter het albino pairings or simply a visual albino pairing ;)

odds are a real long shot wouldnt waste the time.many years to invest not worth it

Kind of of the same opinion..I will be doing pied & albino pairings in the future hence my thinking of putting a pied to the three albino hets..they would be linked for future pairings of 100% dhets..or I may just breed them to a visual albino ;)

I would do it if you have those snakes already, but I don't think I'd buy them for the purpose.

If you breed pied x het pied, you'll get all 100% het pieds 50% phet albinos. Hold back all the females and raise them up. By the time they are ready to breed, purchase or maybe by then you'll be able to make your own double het male, and breed him to all the females.

Even if you don't get an albino pied in the first year, with any luck you will be able to identify some females that are het albino by getting albinos in the clutch, and you already know they are all het pied.

Well this is my dream snake a "Pied-Albino"
They are hot!!!
I to this next year will be breeding my pied to my female albino to make the double hets.
But I have a bonus.... I have in my racks a 100% het pied / het albino
Now I know the odds are stacked against me but I just gotta try.. What is the worst that can happen? I make pieds and albinos.. oh well I'll deal with that. This is my 2 year prodject all just for me. Not looking to make $$$ not looking to do anything like that just really want that Pied-albino.
So next season is my pied male to my albino & to my double het pied/albino.
So I plan on making double hets I hope I get a male and pieds poss het albino and 100% het pieds poss het albino.. Well sorry for rambling this is just a dream of mine and to see anyone else make them just makes me want them more. I wish you tons of luck and please if you hit it send me pics so i can drool om my keyboard.:gj:

Thanks Casey..I have the girls at the moment..I will be planning on a clutch or two of double hets next season..just thought with the odds it may be worth a punt..other option is simply producing albinos & hets..I am currently looking to build a half dozen or so of each recessive female into my collection..every thing I will be working with will be linked one way or the other..pieds, axanthics & albinos..will be adding a few more recessives over time & mixing with the spider/pinstripe & black pastel, pastel genes :gj:

Thanks LOL! I have the same outlook..its the thrill of acheivment in producing some amazing morphs..intend doing a few dhet projects next season i.e the albino & axanthic pied..long odds but will be fantastic to produce one at the end of the day..the het girls will be available so the worst scenario will be pieds & albinos cant grumble at those results..:)

pied x het albino is fine by me...
by the time the female offspring are mature enough, you should be able to pick-up a male albino het pied for a couple of grand

obviously better to breed pied x albino tho

Will be doing some dhets next season Alan..just thinking on options for the hets, thought it might be worth a punt..other option is fingers crossed you get male spider hets this season lol! Would be handy for the pastels & axanthics as well as the hets :)

Hmm maybe we might help each other out.. ??
I do plan on having a pied to albino this next year.
Maybe we might keep in touch if ya want and do some trades ??
Add new blood to the mix so to speak. Just a thought..
