BEL x Bumblebee??
Hi there, maybe this has already been asked and answered but I couldn't find it (maybe I didn't search hard enough), so I apologize if it has.
I was bored and on the Genetics Wizard and was thinking what would come out of a BEL x Bumblebee crossing. The genetics came out as such:
6.25%: Normal
6.25%: Pastel
6.25%: Spider
6.25%: Pastel, Spider
6.25%: Butter
6.25%: Butter, Pastel
6.25%: Butter, Spider
6.25%: Butter, Pastel, Spider
6.25%: Lesser Platinum
6.25%: Lesser Platinum, Pastel
6.25%: Lesser Platinum, Spider
6.25%: Lesser Platinum, Pastel, Spider
6.25%: Butter, Lesser Platinum
6.25%: Butter, Lesser Platinum, Pastel
6.25%: Butter, Lesser Platinum, Spider
6.25%: Butter, Lesser Platinum, Pastel, Spider
So that last one is basically saying you'd get a BEL Bumblebee?? What on earth would that look like?

The highlighted ones aren't right. Since a Butter Lesser BEL is a homozygous animal and not a combo you wouldn't have a shot at producing the BEL again.
But everything else looks good

LOL naa it was right there's just not a way to show a homozygous animal created with two different phenotypes.. It's all good.. NOt to say that like a
Queen bee bred to a Pastel Butter or something couldn't give you those combos..just not with the stuff you listed.

Re: BEL x Bumblebee??
You could still posibly get some normals in that breeding? I thought a BEL bred to anything would not produce any normals?

Good catch!!
You'd really end up with this
25% Lesser/Butter,
25% Lesser/Butter, Spider,
25% Lesser/Butter, Pastel,
25% Lesser/Butter, Pastel, Spider,

Re: BEL x Bumblebee??
The wizard is calculating as if butter and lesser are unrelated genes. If this were true, then you could get normals and BEL's, but since they are compatible genes on the same locus, only one or the other can get passed to each offspring. Each offspring will either be butter or lesser(good luck guessing which is which).
