Cool feeding pics...

My new JCP (Kipling) is a very good feeder so far, and took his f/t pinkie mouse right off the tongs tonight... I grabbed the camera, because his strike & coil pose was so cute! Even though the mouse was too small to constrict, he certainly thought he was doing it right. :D Here are the photos, and do you think I should offer a fuzzy mouse next week? The pink looks awfully small for him!

You probably want to get Kipling onto rats as soon as you can - and he certainly should be able to take a pink - or even fuzzy - rat without difficulty. Carpets can imprint on mice, and feeding an eight foot jungle a half-dozen mice a week will get old in a hurry!

In any case, yeah - the li'l dude would appreciate some larger snacks, I think!

Thanks! :) I'd like to keep him on f/t now that he's taking them, so he doesn't imprint on live (like most of my BPs)... getting frozen rat pups might be a challenge, so worst case scenario I'll do the switch when he's big enough for a weaned rat - or when I place my next frozen order, which might be a while.

Can you get live rat pups and P/K them? I would do that until you order again. At least he wont be eating live.
