    Those That Use Freezer/Cooler Incubators
For those that use these that have their bators up and running, just wanted to see everyone's temp difference from top to bottom.

Herpstat set 88.4- probe bottom shelf

Accurite reads top shelf temp and room temp

That seems like a big difference... Do you have a fan in your fridge?

    88.5-89.6 is only 1.1F difference

the 81F you see is Room temp not the incubator

But Bator will even out to 88.4 botom-88.7top if not opened at all for a full day

Heres the bator after running 15 hrs,

That could probably be due to just differences in sensitivity between the 2 devices

No thier dead on as i use a IR temp gun to make sure the Accurite was working before using it.

Temps are .1-.2 difference form the herpstat and accurite. They were at one time today the same temp of 88.5

I have 5 of those thermometers, each one reads different. I tossed all mine and bought a temp gun.

Yeah, my accurites were wildly innacurate from one to the next. I noticed it when there would be over 7 degree differences in the room temp from on thermometer to the next. I ended up getting a temp gun.

I use them as a ballpark measurement, but never had a problem. I measured all their probes with the Raytek and are dead on so i guess i got good ones.

But i dont rely on them for main temp monitoring since i have the temp gun. Would never trust them over a temp gun or thermostat. But for their price the do a great job

in picture you can see 88.4-88.7 which is dead on measurements.

I'm using a commercial refrigerator with two triple-pane glass doors that I managed to salvage for free from a restaurant that went out of business. I actually kept the fans it came with for circulation (stripped everything else out and sold as scrap metal), and temps were pretty consistent from top to bottom last year. Once I get it up and running this year I'll post on here what it's reading. I also use a temp gun to monitor my temperatures over one of those digital thermometers.
