Poping sound but not ri?

    Poping sound but not ri?
    my bp's mouth is dry and clean etc but i got him out for the 2nd time today and i would sometimes hear a faint pop sound like as if he was cracking his "knuckles" is he is just realigning his spin or something i have had him a week he has ate etc etc

    Keep an eye on this snake. It maybe the beginning of RI. Other than RI, I don't know what could cause this sound.

    Hi! My cornsnake was making that same sound the other day too. Almost like he's cracking his back. But then he shed right after that so maybe that has something to do with it. Good luck!

    I would keep an eye on the snake as already suggested. I have experienced this once and went to the vet and it was not RI. But, in every event, don't be to sure that it is not RI. This occurrence has been associated with shedding and with the change of substrate. You might want to use news paper.

    Hi,

    Have you checked for retained shed obstructing his nostrils?

    It might also be worth checking to see if you can work out if the noises are coming from his nose or from further down his body. :gj:
