Moss in ball python cage?
Is this a easier way to help keep a tank humid in a glass tank ?
Re: Moss in ball python cage?
cover the top if its screen with a damp towel? Get a good substrate that holds water to raise humidity.
Re: Moss in ball python cage?
If you are using a lamp, getting rid of it will significantly raise your humidity level.
Another option would be switching to a plastic tub :)

The moss is fine, but as you have noticed, not very effective.

Getting rid of the lights will improve your situation dramatically. Lights suck the humidity right out of your enclosure. Kaorte's advice is right on target!
And no you don't need to keep a light. Balls spend days in termite mounds and nights out hunting. They do not need lights. Get an under tank heater that covers 1/2 to 2/3rds of you tank bottom. Put it on a thermostat. Cover the top like Kaorte suggested
