    vet visit didnt go so good
    I took my female ball to the vet yesterday and the dumbass who had her before me didnt make any attempt to fix her retained eye cap, now she is blind in the eye. I hate stupid people so much!! :mad:

    I got meds for her other eye. to make sure that one stays healthy. and for an antibotics for a cut she had on her gums. she bit a stick I think. last time I fed her, and missed :( but its better now!

    Well you do realize that snakes are basically blind anyway? All they can really "see" is movement.

    ever watched a ball python in the grass? or how bout a spitter spit?... they aren't "basically blind"!

    Because they dont see things like we do, that doesnt mean they are "blind."

    Every animal/species sees the world in a different way through different eyes.

    While we have better eyesight than most species, they make up in it in many different ways. Other than eyesight, Human senses lag behind in smell, hearing, etc etc...

    Sorry to hear your snake has eye damage but she should do fine. They can spot prey in the pitch black using only their heat sensors so she will be fine. They probably use their sight more to protect them from predators and since she is in captivity she doesnt need to worry about that. I have seen snakes born with one eye that got along just fine. They don't see or use sight like we do so it isnt quite as critical as it would be to us.
    Glad to hear she's getting the attention she needs.
