Make sure the water is at 85-90 and just put him in and wipe down from his head to his tail. The water should be no higher than half the thickness of the snake! Dry him off and he is good to go!!!

I can't speak for your snake, but when my biggest girl did that, wiping her down did nothing for the smell. So, I got out my trusty little digital meat thermometer and put about 2 inches of 90 degree water in my bathroom sink. I grabbed a clean washcloth and my bottle of baby shampoo and my snake.

I soaked the washcloth real good, dripped on a little baby shampoo, and lathered her up, being careful not to get to close to her head. Once she was sudsed up, I rinsed out the washcloth in the sink, then I emptied the sink and rinsed her off with a very gentle stream of warm water. She was an absolute doll during the whole ordeal, and she certainly smelled better when we were done.

If your own snake is calm enough, and a plain water wipe down doesn't do the trick, you can try a bath.

like the other said about the temp....make sure it is not too deep and keep your hand in there so she has something to rest on if she wishes. She will feel safer like that.

Afterwards just dry her off and put her back in her clean bin. ;)

Me as well - I never "bathe" my snakes, or put them in the tub. Never had a reason to.
