    Olympics 2010. Short Track Skating.
So in my infinite boredom I came across Apolo Ohno doing his thing in another race tonight. The 500m short track skating! The first time I watched Ohno was the opening night of the Olympics. He astounded me with his maneuverability and speed seeing as Speed Skating was new to me. So after the first time I watched him, I instantly became a huge fan probably like most 15-22 year old females ( something Im not. 20yr old male ). Ohno made it to the semis by 2 people falling with, I think 3 laps left, so I'm fairly certain he would've made it regardless if they fell because of his determination to finish races off and effortlessly pass opponent after opponent. So on come the finals! I was nervous for the man, seeing as I am a proud American and was rooting for my fellow home-land skater! Ohno was in last the entire race. He made a move on the very last turn. Two of his opponents fell on the last turn. Ohno barely grazed the Canadian in front of him and he fell. And for you you who didn't see it, there was more contact by the other two skaters who weren't disqualified then there was with Ohno and the Canadian. I feel that the Judges made a very bad call because there was minimal contact. I cant find it on youtube yet so I cant post a link just yet. But for those of you who did see it, what are your thoughts?

I realize this is bias based on me being an American. I respect all the skaters, they all did well I just thought it was an unfair call. I dont want a debate or people to fret over the thread. I just want more thought. And like i said "infinite boredom," so please dont get offended by what I said. Just bringing up a topic to talk about.

    Thanks! :)

    Go USA! lol

I hear where you're coming from. But while that touch seemed light enough, I think it was enough to merit disqualification. I wish it wasn't that way though. On the flip side, if he wasn't disqualified, then there would have always been that doubt surrounding that medal as to if he actually deserved it.
