Feeding Enough??

Idk but lately I have been feeling as if my BP's are still hungry after feeding.
Norm......250 grams / measures around 1 & 3/4 (or bigger) inch at the widest pt
Ammit......185 grams / measures around 1 & 1/4 inch at the widest pt
Naga.......175 grams / measures around 1 & 1/8 inch at the widest pt

Tonight I fed:
Norm.......34 gram mouse
Ammit.......30 grams mouse
Naga........27 gram mouse

I was thinking of adding live hoppers before the f/t mice to bump them up to 20% of their body weight. They aren't gaining weight as much as I thought they would. Norm and Naga were around 80 grams in December and Ammit was 105 in January.

Any thought. Norm (250 gramer) is 6 months the other 2 are 5 months. I bring this up b/c I was reading some other post and saw ppl were feeding 50-60 gram feeders to their animals in the 200 range.
Thoughts??

i always follow the 10-15% rule and its worked excellent

I think that is feeding a bit too big of meals..

They all grow at different rates, you can't necessarily make them grow faster by feeding them more. Just feed them an appropriately sized meal once a week and they will grow accordingly.

Agreed!

I offer mine food every 3 to 4 days. Some eat and some don't.

In my opinion, 20% is way too much. I usually shoot for 10% but if it is a little higher (up to 15%) then that is fine. I don't aim for 15%.

feed yearlings as much as they will eat,I feed mine every 3 to five days & move up in prey size as they grow 4oo to 500 grammers eat small rats or full grow ASFs.,after that its rare for my adults to take a med rat, they like the smaller prey.

10-15% works good for me I feed my young guys your size every 3 days. I have a pair of pastels the male is just over 250 grams and has already started to refuse food that frequently. The female on the other had is over 550 grams and started taking small smalls (rats). I got both in mid November from a show at the time they were 80 (male) and 68 grams (female). The female takes every meal offered and has even eaten some of the males refusals.

Ok cuz I'm feeding every 5 days. I think I'm gonna gradually work to 3 days so they aren't shocked to what is going on. I'll feed every 4 for the next 2 weeks then work to 3 the week after that. Is that a good plan. I mean I don't want them to go off feed or anything.
