    sliding door questions
    hey everyone im planing on making a new enclosure for my soon to be ball python and i need to make sliding plexiglass doors for it if anyone has any ides on how i can do this that would be much appreciated! -Mike. H

    Are you talking about the plexiglass doors themselves, or are you talking about all of the hardware associated with the doors too?

    You can ether buy aluminum tracks for them or make them out of hard wood, like I did, and just buy the glass the size you need them, its very easy to do.

    I made mine with the table saw and ran mutlit passed for the front frame piece to make a groove track in which I set my metal track pieces (just a Ushaped metal stock from lowes) and then tapped the glass edges to prevent cutting myself and assemble bamm sliding doors that were completely in the cage frame . the only bad part ( possible is were hte 2 pieces of glass over hang since ther will still be an edge there. and the tracks do get filled with shavings 9 which start to grind the glass after a while) but they look nice and are stronger than plexie I had snake pop the plexie out a lot until I made a trimm piece to push the plexie tighter against the divider I had.
