Moving from one kind of cage to another

My Boa is growing up and in 6 months to a year she will need a larger enclosure. I have her in a great display enclosure but frankly have no interest to find a bigger one. I would rather move her to a Reptile Basics cage from her current glass cage. I have read up alot on them and the heating and bedding are no brainers. But as far as humidity, I know its a lower roof so this helps as it is a tighter warmed area that will hold moisture well and the water dish will add to this but I am to the point where I dont have to mist any of my tanks and would prefer to keep it that way. What have many of yall done to keep humidity up and I mean this more for when a snake is going into shed then just on a normal basis as I would believe a RB cage with a radiant heat panel and UTH or Thermal tape with a water bowl will keep humidity up at a good level on a normal day to day basis.

I fear leaving a damp paper towel in the cage could invite mold and or bacteria as I would think that would be the first idea to use.

you could try a small rubbermaid filled with damp sphagnum moss but that seems to be more work than a quick mist...

hey i got a 4 year old ball python, just bought her. how long will it take for her to not be so skiddish?? shes all sketched out i think? what should i do if when the time comes to feed her for the first time and she doesnt eat??
