[ask] Temperature for Incubator
i am preparing my incubator right now..
it is my first breeding season and i am a bit confused with the temps needed..
if the ideal temp is to have in the range of 88-92 (Fahrenheit)
is this temperature range in the outside or inside the egg box?..
guidance needed :please:
Re: [ask] Temperature for Incubator
When people talk about an "ideal" temp they are talking about the tep inside the incubator.
Re: [ask] Temperature for Incubator
ok so this might sound stupid but i pretty much have the same questions as shawn so what your saying is that when people are saying 88-90 degrees thats the temp inside the incubator not your egg tubs, so for instance you could have an ambient temp of 89 and your egg tubs are at 85 and thats ok???
Re: [ask] Temperature for Incubator
Well if you have your ambient temps set at 88-90 degrees, chances are your egg tubs are also going to be within that range. They take on the ambient temperature within the incubator, give or take a little. My incubator is set at 90 with the egg tub temps sitting at 89.7.
Re: [ask] Temperature for Incubator
Once a constant temp. inside the incubator is set, your egg tub should be exactly the same. The more the temp. fluctuates the more condensation you will see. This does not include the last 10-15 days of incubation because the eggs go through changes (dimple) and will change the temp. thus changes the humidity inside the tub. So condensation will be more evident.
Re: [ask] Temperature for Incubator
89 F is what I set my incubator to. I have never measured inside my egg tubs.
