Re: Good and Bad Cage "lids"
I have seen kids in college that just used a lockable trunk and drilled airholes in it.
Re: Good and Bad Cage "lids"
I have a cage with a sliding lid that I have hidden in my room I'm looking for pics of examples I can show to our student Senate
Re: Good and Bad Cage "lids"
Check out the cages that Animal Plastics makes. The ones with sliding glass doors are lockable.
There's also Reptile Basics and Boaphile cages.
Re: Good and Bad Cage "lids"
I guess they would probably want some sort of legitimate cage specifically designed for snakes, but my bp is a stowaway at my school and i've just got a tub with 2 side latches and velcro strapping the other sides. I've never had a problem with him escaping and even when he's tried and pushed, the lid was no way in heck gonna move.
But something you may also need to point out is that it doesn't matter how secure of a cage it is, if the owner screws up and doesn't close it properly, you're gonna have runaway snakes.
Re: Good and Bad Cage "lids"
i just got one the the zilla critter cages and the have a sliding lockable lid very nice
Re: Good and Bad Cage "lids"
What about just a glass tank, it's harder to keep up but you can do it and they have 20L for like 75 bucks new but I got mine on craigslist for 40 bucks.

Hahaha. It didn't register that what you said was the same thing I said at first but to the OP i meant the Zilla cages.
Re: Good and Bad Cage "lids"
I do have a 40 gallon breeder with the sliding "lockable lid." I was just really looking for pictures of lids that slide or have another way of securing so I can show them as examples as well as pictures of bad examples not as good or bad cages just for the purpose of showing escapable and non-escapable cages.
