How does every one feel about housing geckos in like on the the big rubbermaid containers? I figure with proper ventilation it would be easy cheap, and hold in humidity.

idk was walking through walmart and saw them and they seem to be big enough.

When I get my jeep fixed I plan on getting 2.1 geckos. so I can have a total of 2.2 so I can start breeding. so I would have 1.1 in each bucket, I could also stack those.

Rubbermaids are fine, just melt or drill lots of holes in the sides for ventillation. If they don't get enough ventillation you will get mold growth. Also make sure you get good sized tubs for adults since they don't have the vertical space that traditional caging has.

This is a bit late but another idea would be to hot glue some plastic screen onto the tub. I just made a new tub for one of my females today and used this method.

Since they need quite a bit of ventilation so they can have a humidity cycle, making one large opening is much easier than drilling hundreds of holes. Especially if you are going to have multiple tubs, this method would take much less time. Plus it is a little easier to see them and they like to climb on the screen :)
