"We are left to make our own judgment of people who import and keep pythons and other exotic animals. That judgment is likely to be: “Idiots.”"

The snakes can be 26 feet long and as thick as telephone poles, we’re told.
This New York Times writer hires 12 hookers with 50lbs of blow every day, I'm told.
The longest snake in the world, the Reticulated Python, barely gets 26 feet long and only the largest Anaconda specimens get as thick as a small telephone pole. There should be a way to have this crap taken down, it's insulting to my senses let alone my hobby.
Re: How Much Worse Can It Get???
Next they will be attacking me when I go to check my mail way up here in Missouri...LOL:D

Calm down.
Breathe.
First off, did anyone actually READ this article or do any research on the author?
Neil Genzlinger writes reviews on books, plays, movies, etc. He doesn't post news.
He is simply reviewing what he was told on a PBS broadcast. He actually sites this many times. To point a quote out, that was quoted here:

"we're told" usually indicates what is being portrayed to the reviewer.
He also doesn't call anyone who keeps exotic animals, pythons, etc idiots. He is once again citing the program.
His opening paragraph about "snakes everywhere" is giving the reader his impression of what the show leads you to believe.
This isn't the fault of NYT or the author.
The problem is the with "Nature" program on PBS, presenting false information. Not with the reviewer, who is reviewing what is being presented.
Please actually read the article and do some research before totally lambasting it. If you notice, this article is under Television Review.
