Re: ibd?
I'm not sure that there are a lot of signs at first. The end result is stargazing, inability to right themselves, head tilting and finally death.

Re: ibd?
ok cause i just got a new snake and she seems fine but she always has her head in a stiff stricking position when i open the lid. I just got her a couple of days ago so i didnt know if she was just scared but when i touch her on the tail she moves it fast. and if i hold her tail she streaches out fine and moves fine but soon as let it go she goes right back to that position. what do you think. shes in qt but i was just wondering cause im just hearing about this problem

Re: ibd?
ok well if u just got her a few days ago u should let her be alone for atleast a week so she can settle in and calm down. i know its tempting to look at them and touch them but shes prolly stressed from the move and not used to u. how old is she? if shes young then she will need time to get used to u, cuz she is just scared cuz she thinks u want to hurt her. IBD is a sort of virus than snakes can pass to each other. pythons is always fatal and there isnt anything they can do about it. ive heard of snakes getting a wobbly head like with spiders when they have IBD. but the obove post covered the rest of the symptoms that i know of.
