    Top 10?
So Ive been gone for a few days, and I was listening to alot of music...reflecting a bit on life and all that. So I was curious, what's everyone's top 10 fav. bands/singers/etc.? And which song do you like most?

    Here's mine:
1: Alice in Chains- Down in a hole
    2: Pantera- Broken
    3: Slayer- Angel of Death
4: Five Finger Death Punch- Far from home
5: Misfits- Dig up her bones
    6: Staind- Epiphany
    7: Smashing Pumpkins- Eye
    8: Green Day- Basket case
    9: Soundgarden- Black hole sun
10: The Offspring- The kids aren't alright

And for the fun of it, my top "guilty pleasure" band would have to be:
    Insane Clown Posse- C.P.K.'s

Just about any classic rock band. No way I can pick a top 10. Way too many great albums and even more songs.

Wow, this is really hard. For most music lovers something about the song brings back a memory. Well that's how it is for me at least.
I did not put them in a specific order cuz I could sit here all night long doing that and moving things around. These are some of my favorites
Audioslave Gasoline, Like a Stone, Cochise, Show me how to live (the whole album Audioslave is maniac good.
    CCR - Cotton Fields
    Tab Benoit - Shining Moon
    STP- Interstate Love Song
Pink Floyd- Great gig in the sky, Welcome to the Machine, Run like hell, Learning to fly (and on an on)
    Steppenwolf- Magic Carpet Ride
Eagles- Take it easy (this was my moms favorite song. On your way to Creede Colorado, you go past a place called South Fork. After you pass South Fork to go into the heart of the Rocky Mountains. We would always put this song on and I do it to this day in memory of the best mom in the whole world. I always cry and I always smile.
Mandala- Let my Love (a band I was in, many moons ago. This song was what almost got us a recording contract. It was a crazy, wonderful time in my life, filled with crazy wonderful memories)
    John Hiatt- Seven little Indians

This was way to hard. I could go on and on and on. I have to go ahead and post this or I'll start making changes.

In no particular order, though it probably reflects how often I've listened to it lately.
This list also excludes non-western music. I adore Northern Indian music among other groups, but I just don't know it well enough to suggest anything in particular.

If you haven't heard any of these songs, youtube them NOW. I guarantee you it explodes the crap out of any music produced in the last 5 years.

    Funkadelic - Maggot Brain
Deodato - Nights in White Satin
Pink Floyd - Shine On You Crazy Diamond
    B52s - Rock Lobster
Herbie Hancock - Sly (I had a tough time not putting Chameleon and Rockit on here, but I'll keep it to one song per artist)
Liszt - Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2 (piano, not silly orchestrated versions)
    Youngblood Brass Band - Brooklyn
Jose Gonzalez - the entire In Our Nature album.. the songs are too short for a single one to be considered 'great' unto itself, but the album as a whole is spectacular
    Bela Fleck - Spanish Point
    Mason Williams - Classical Gas

Hm. This will be hard. They're in no order, just whatever comes to mind.

Tool - Pretty much any song they write. I could list 15+
Slipknot - My two favorite are Vermillion and Pulse of the Maggots. HUGE fan of Slipknot though, so I love anything they write.
Korn - The ones that have stuck with me are Hollow Life, Make me Bad, Trash, and Alone I Break.
A Perfect Circle - Judith, Weak and Powerless, and Blue.

Too many good bands and songs to chose 10 :D

But Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Megadeth, AC/DC, Metallica, and some of the Marlyn Manson cover songs (Sweet Dreams, Tainted Love, This is Halloween) are definitely up there.
