    poo question
I have an '09 male spider that I've had since Nov. He eats well, I've gotten him switched to f/t rats. He last ate 2 weeks ago, and hasn't poo'd since then. He has passed the urates, but no poop. I soaked him Tuesday night hoping that would help. He is in blue when I checked on him this afternoon.
    Thanks,
    Steph

He'll probably leave you a huge surprise after he sheds, that's what my guys usually do ;)

Thanks, usually he is pretty reliable with that. It's never taken him this long before. I wanted to wait to feed him until he did and now that he is in shed I will wait.

I would offer during sheds to be consistent with the feeding schedule. It may take a while for you to feed if you're feeding F/T.

They most likely do this because they're vulnerable when they are opaque, and spend a lot of time in one position.

Shedding is a 'stinky' process (which is why male snakes go nuts over newly shed females). Since they're making a big stink then anyhow, they also get rid of all the stored up feces, and they can leave the whole predator-attracting mess behind.
