    Help with CRB
I need some serious help with a CRB. I recently got him and he had mites which I treated but now he refuses to eat. His mouth is red around the teeth on the lower jaw and he has a pool of saliva in the back of his throat. I have been keeping the temps 80-90 and hum 80%. I have no idea if this is mouth rot or a RI but I am starting to worry about him. I have lowered the hum to 60% and have raised the temps 85-95 to start helping his immune system and if it is an RI.

take him to a vet, it sound like he might have some sort of respiratory issue.

Open his mouthup (gently) and take a look.

mouth rot = smelly cheesy type substance inmouth, check upper and lower.

RI = bubbling, clicking, whistling or rattling of any sort while breathing or hissing.

In either case it's wise not to leave him to fight it alone, a course of anti-biotics will soon set him right. Then it's ball back in your court, keep his husbandry spot on and it won't come back.

Took him to the vet on 2/19 and found out that he had both mouth rot and an RI and I have been treating it but recently he has started to bubble on 1 nostril. Has the RI turned into anemonia?

If you took him to the vet they gave you medications right? Sometimes things get worse before they get better. Hopefully with alot of TLC he can be healthy again.

Did you get a culture? If not then you could have the wrong antibiotics that aren't helping the snake kill the infection. Ask your doctor about different medication and see what else he/she can give you. If you haven't tried the culture I strongly recommend it, it will tell what type of bacteria you are dealing with so you can get the right antibiotics.

He has gotten much better. The RI looks gone and the rot has decreased a good amount.
