    Ball Python and Blood Python?
I'd like to start by saying Hello, this is my first post here. c:

I tried using the search to find an answer to this, but could have missed it, so feel free to delete if this doesn't belong here.

Okay, I have a year old Ball Python (Cleo) and was recently offered a 2 year old Blood Python. The owner told me it would be fine to keep the two of them in the same enclosure, but I'm a bit wary of this.

Would the two of them be okay together? Cleo is about 2 feet long, the Blood is around 2 or 3 feet.

Absolutely not! You were sorely misinformed! These guys are soliltary creatures and should only be introduced to others of their kind for breeding.

No, greatest ideal, plus blood will get much bigger. Best bet is to read a care sheet cause bloods get big. Really you shouldn't keep Amy snake together

NO NO NO NO NO NO

    DEFINITLY NO.

First, blood pythons are from malaysia while balls are from africa... Totally different.

Balls should have a basking spot of about 85-90 while bloods should have one about 85... So you would have to be almost right on the dot.

In general, never house snakes together unless breeding. Spread of parasites and disease is easily done. If one has problems, you can not tell which one has bad poop because they are together... etc.

Besides these, if they are both males, territorial fights could ensue, possibly leading to the death of your ball python.

NOT TO MENTION, they both have different care requirements.

    BP care sheet

    Blood Python care sheet

    Never house snakes together.

Welcome to the forums, I'm sorry if we seem harsh, we just care about the animals we all love.
