My het is not eating can someone give me some pointers pls?

My het has eaten once since i have got him. Now he refuses his temp is fine.
anyone have any suggestions?

What are you keeping him in? A tank or a rack system? I have a few proven tricks that I use thats why I am asking.

A tank

Well you may try to toss the prey item in and cover all the sides so it feels more secure or try feeding it at night when it is more active. Don't worry too much they can go months without eating and be perfectly healthy.

Make sure he has two tight fitting hides.

Also, is that avatar picture your snakes tank? Is that sand in there? I can't really tell.
