    Rack Temps
I have a 32 qt sweaterbox rack from reptile basics with belly heat regulated by a helix. I have my helix set to 105 F with the probe taped directly to the heat tape using electrical tape.

Here is the problem: With just those setting I had warm side temps at about 93 F, cool side temps at around 78 F, and humidity around 90%.

To address the humidity I soldered two rows of holes along three sides, but that only dropped it to around 88%. I have a feeling the reptile-bark might have something to do with it, and I might switch over to newspaper.

After the humidity, the cool side temps are my biggest concern. Is there anything I can do outside of getting a space heater to get those up?

I don't think those temps are to far off u should be fine. Switch to newspaper or aspen. What temp is the room must b cold to have helix at 105

The room stays around 70 most of the year, but these last few weeks have been really cold and it's been around 67.

As long as your cool side stays above 75*F its fine.

Switching to newspaper or paper towels will help lower the humidity a bit more.
