    weight and weight gain
Im just curious if theres a rough weight that a BP should be at a given size, i ask because i feel like mine(the one that will eat) is growing rather fast and i wanted to be sure it was healthy.

when i first got him around september 09(i dont remember the exact month) he was a hatchling, at the time i didnt have a scale so i didnt weight him. For cristams i got a scale, weighed him and he was 311g. last month i weighed him again and he was up to 404g. I just weighed him earlier this afternoon and hes now weighing in at 472g. Is it common for them to gain this much weight or might i be overfeeding?

    thanks for any advice.

Is it a spider by any chance? Lol. Mine is doing the same. 107g to 450g in 4 months and going.

    Edit:

I posted pictures of mine here, then updated it later on by page 3. http://www.ball-pythons.net/forums/s...d.php?t=105345

You may want to feed one prey item once a week! It would be easier on you and the snake. That way it has time to digest. My male normal is 7 months and 627 grams and eats a small rat every week! They grow fast at a young age!
