    Humidity for CRB's
    Hello everyone!

I've been reading care sheets on CRB's and I've gotten a range of proper humidity from 50% to 80%. So, I'm wondering if anyone has personal experience or recommendations on proper humidity. From what I've also read, they don't need as much humidity as their BRB counterparts, but they do like more heat (80ish ambient 90ish hotspot).

I adjusted humidity as needed for the individual animals more so then trying to keep a particular level, they gave me good sheds and didn't have any issues so all was well. Temp wise I kept them in a heated room that was upper 70s but couldn't recall anything exact as it has been 5+ years since I kept them.

They like things humid just like BRBs so I would consider humidity in the 70s. I wouldn't go lower than 50% though, then it would be too dry.

Yeah, from the NERD caresheet, they recommend 50-60% for the CRB's and 70% for the BRB's. While they are a trusty source of care info, I've read higher amounts for the CRB's.

I've also seen variation in the temp recommendations as well, which makes it a bit tougher to know what to shoot for. Hot side recommendations from 85-90 and ambient from 75-85. Any tips out there??

We have BRBs here and have had CRBs in the past. I personally don't keep them very differently. For both species i've found misting twice a day, a large waterbowl, over head heat rather than under belly and a good moisture retaining substrate like orchid bark (or whatever it's called over there) does the trick with CRBs and BRBs. hot spot is maintained around 88-90 with the cold end not being allowed to drop below 75 in a 4ft viv.
