    1st ball fasting problem..
i dont know my ball has been fasting for about a month and a half now. i know they can go for much much much longer without eating and be perfectly fine, but shes never refused food before and normally takes as soon as the mouse hits the cage. but she just seems uninterested.. any ideas?

    is she your only snake?

if the answer to that is "no" then are any of the other snakes male?

i read online ball pythons can go into a fasting cycle when in heat and sense/smell the presence of a male ball

    hope that helps

How is your ambient temp? Make sure your husbandry is correct! Check warm and cool side temps and the humidity. Ambient temp is hard to keep above 75 in the winter and can cause them to go off feed! Good luck!!!

If she's a big girl, then it's most likely due to the breeding season. If she's small, and is loosing weight quickly, then that's when you need to worry. If her weight is stable, it's not too big of a deal.
